<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nFirst I bought a cheap set of simple light fixtures so I could design the keg to fit the fixtures. I cut the keg into four parts with a bottom section that holds the fixture then the three other parts are glued together to make the lampshade. The base is held onto the bottom by eight high power magnets so its easy to replace bulbs as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After designing I 3D printed several test parts to make sure everything fit then started the three day process of printing all the parts for two kegs. Once they were all printed I covered most of the parts in filler primer and sanded smooth to get rid of the layer lines. Then off to paint and clear coat. After they dried completely, I glued the shade parts together and magnets into place and added the custom order Duff Beer logo stickers I got from my friends over at AtomicDecals on Etsy<\/a>. Finally I hit it all with another clear coat and were are good to go. Overall took about a week from concept to final product but most of the time was spend on printing and waiting for paint to dry.
